Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Han Yazilim Bilisim Hizmetleri (“we,” “us,” “Kinobolt”) and govern your use of the Kinobolt iOS application and the kinobolt.app website (together, the “Service”).
By downloading, installing, or using Kinobolt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 9 years old to use Kinobolt, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Kinobolt is intended for adults who want to manage their own digital habits. It is not a parental controls tool and is not designed to monitor or restrict other people’s device use.
2. What Kinobolt does
Kinobolt blocks selected iOS apps until you reach a daily movement goal, measured in Move Points (MP), based on activity data from Apple Health. The unlock decision is evaluated locally on your device. Daily reset happens at your device’s local midnight.
Kinobolt is a personal wellness tool, not a medical device or fitness coach. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. The Move Point values, goal recommendations, AI coaching messages, and achievement designs are guidance for behavior change, not medical advice.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your physical activity, especially if you have any medical condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
3. Your Apple account and HealthKit data
Kinobolt requires permission to read certain data types from Apple Health. We only read what is necessary to calculate your daily Move Points and to display your stats. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iOS Settings. Without that access, the Service will not function.
Sign in with Apple is optional. If you sign in, you authorize us to store the limited identifier and profile information described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions and one-time purchases
4.1 Kinobolt Pro
Kinobolt Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features described in the app and on kinobolt.app. Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription. Pricing is shown in the App Store in your local currency and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions or in the App Store app.
- We do not control Apple’s subscription billing — refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
4.2 Flex Passes
A Flex Pass is a one-time, non-refundable in-app purchase that grants a 24-hour bypass of the app blocking mechanism. Flex Passes are consumed when you redeem them in the app. Unused Flex Passes remain in your account indefinitely. Monthly Flex Passes included with Kinobolt Pro reset on the first of each calendar month and do not roll over.
4.3 Free trials and introductory offers
We may offer free trials or introductory pricing for Kinobolt Pro. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription will automatically convert to the standard price. Eligibility rules and limitations are set by Apple.
4.4 Price changes
We may change the price of Kinobolt Pro at any time. Any price change will not apply to your current subscription period. Apple will notify you of price increases and request your agreement before charging the new price, in accordance with Apple’s policies.
5. Your account
You are responsible for any activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us at hello@kinobolt.app. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. Account deletion has a 30-day grace period, after which deletion is permanent and irreversible.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app, except where this restriction is prohibited by law
- Attempt to bypass the app-blocking mechanism through technical means (using the in-app Flex Pass feature is not a bypass and is fully permitted)
- Submit false Apple receipts or attempt to fraudulently obtain Pro features or Flex Passes
- Use the Service to harass, monitor, or restrict another person without their informed consent
- Use the Service in any way that interferes with its operation or with other users’ enjoyment of it
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these rules.
7. Intellectual property
Kinobolt, the Kinobolt name and logo, the Move Points concept, the achievement designs, the coaching content, and all other elements of the Service are owned by Han Yazilim Bilisim Hizmetleri or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You retain ownership of any content you generate using the Service (for example, the goals you set and the apps you choose to block).
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party services including Apple, Supabase, Adapty, OneSignal, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel, Sentry, and Anthropic. Your use of features provided by these services may be subject to their own terms.
We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services. Outages or changes to third-party services may affect the Service.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or that it will achieve any specific outcome, including improved fitness, weight loss, reduced screen time, or behavior change. App-blocking effectiveness depends on Apple’s FamilyControls framework, which we do not control.
Health and activity data displayed by Kinobolt is derived from Apple HealthKit. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in HealthKit data or in third-party fitness apps that write to HealthKit.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Han Yazilim Bilisim Hizmetleri and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
- Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Han Yazilim Bilisim Hizmetleri and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account from within the app.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by the competent courts of Istanbul, TR, except that you may also bring claims in the courts of your country of residence where required by mandatory consumer protection law.
Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
15. Apple-specific terms
This section applies because the app is distributed through Apple’s App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Han Yazilim Bilisim Hizmetleri, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
- In the event of a failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service, including product liability, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims.
- If a third party claims the Service infringes its intellectual property, Han Yazilim Bilisim Hizmetleri — not Apple — is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of the claim.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
