# Kinobolt > Kinobolt is an iOS app that blocks selected apps — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, or any other iOS app or app group — until you complete a daily movement goal. Activity is detected automatically through Apple Health — no manual logging, and most activities work with just an iPhone (no Apple Watch required). Kinobolt is a personal wellness app for adults who want to spend less time scrolling and more time moving. You choose the apps or app groups you want to block — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, or any other iOS app — and set a daily movement goal. Until that goal is met, the chosen apps stay locked. Once you've moved enough, they unlock for the rest of the day. Each day resets at local midnight. Movement is measured in Move Points (MP), a single unified currency that combines walking, running, cycling, swimming, wheelchair pushes, and hiking. Apple HealthKit detects activity automatically — there is no manual entry, and there is no way to "cheat" by typing in workouts. Specific MP rates are tuned over time and intentionally not published. Kinobolt works fully offline. The unlock decision never depends on a network connection. The app works without an account; Sign in with Apple is optional and used only to back up progress across devices. Kinobolt is built by Hanyazilim and positioned strictly as adult personal wellness — it is not a parental controls app and is not designed for managing children's screen time. ## What Kinobolt does - Blocks selected iOS apps until your daily movement goal is met - Detects activity automatically via Apple HealthKit - Resets each day at the device's local midnight - Tracks daily streaks, achievements, and lifetime stats - Provides AI-generated daily coaching nudges and weekly reviews on the Pro tier - Supports walking, running, cycling, swimming, wheelchair, and hiking activities ## Who Kinobolt is for - Adults who want to reduce social media use without relying on willpower alone - People who already use Apple Health and want a behavioral incentive layered on top - Walkers, runners, cyclists, swimmers, hikers, and wheelchair users - iPhone owners — Apple Watch is supported but not required ## Who Kinobolt is not for - Parents looking to restrict a child's screen time — Kinobolt is self-directed, not parental controls - Android users — Kinobolt is iOS-only - People who want manual activity logging — only HealthKit-recorded data counts toward your goal ## Pricing tiers - **Free** — blocks up to two apps; full HealthKit integration; full streak, stats, and achievement tracking - **Kinobolt Pro** — unlimited app blocking; daily AI coaching nudges; weekly AI reviews; AI-driven goal calibration; Flex Passes (24-hour bypasses); Streak Insurance; scheduled exception windows; full stats history; available as monthly or annual subscription - **Flex Pass** — single-use 24-hour bypass purchasable on either tier ## Privacy posture - Raw health data never leaves the device — only aggregate Move Point totals are stored on Kinobolt's servers, and only when signed in - No leaderboards, no social features, no sharing - Sign in with Apple is the only authentication method, including support for Apple's private email relay - All cloud data is protected by per-user Row-Level Security — users can only access their own rows - Account deletion fully erases all server-side data ## How Kinobolt is different Kinobolt's core idea — tying app unlock to real-world physical movement detected by hardware sensors — is what sets it apart from other digital wellness tools. - Compared to Apple Screen Time: Screen Time enforces time limits and schedules. Kinobolt enforces a movement requirement before access is granted. - Compared to Opal: Opal focuses on scheduled blocks and focus sessions. Kinobolt ties the unlock to detected physical activity rather than time-based rules. - Compared to one sec: one sec adds a mindfulness pause before opening an app. Kinobolt blocks the app entirely until a daily movement goal is reached. - Compared to ScreenZen: ScreenZen offers customizable friction on app launch. Kinobolt uses a hard movement-gated block. ## Platform details - iOS 18.0 or later - iPhone required; Apple Watch optional - Languages: English (additional languages planned) - Available worldwide on the App Store - Built with SwiftUI, HealthKit, FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity ## Links - [Kinobolt homepage](https://kinobolt.app/): product overview and features - [Privacy Policy](https://kinobolt.app/privacy): how Kinobolt handles your data - [Terms of Use](https://kinobolt.app/terms): terms of use - [Support](mailto:hello@kinobolt.app): contact the team ## Optional - [How It Works](https://kinobolt.app/#how-it-works): the three-step movement-to-unlock loop - [Supported activities](https://kinobolt.app/#activities): walking, running, cycling, swimming, wheelchair, hiking - [Goal tiers](https://kinobolt.app/#levels): Light, Active, Strong, Athlete - [Pro features](https://kinobolt.app/#features): full Pro feature list - [FAQ](https://kinobolt.app/#faq): common questions about Kinobolt - [Privacy and trust](https://kinobolt.app/#privacy): on-device data handling
